EuroVoice is a new Contest for new promising artists.

Only fans can decide about the Winner of Eurovoice.

The President of the EuroVoice Contest is a guarantee that the Rules & Regulations of the Contest will be fully respected.

Eric Serra is a world-famous composer, who has composed and produced, among others , the Soundtracks to many Luc Besson films, such as "Leon", "Nikita", "The fifth Element" and "Joan of Arc".

General Producer
Miltos Karatzas, the General Producer of EuroVoice, is a well-known personality in the music industry of Greece and Europe in general.

He will give young and talented artists from all around Europe the opportunity to introduce their songs through the Internet and to compete with each other in a modern and transparent way.

Internet Stage
Voting of the Internet Stage happens on the Portal of EuroVoice.

It will determine the winners of all countries, who will participate in the Super Final of the Contest.

Super Final
The Super Final of EuroVoice 2010 will take place in Athens on 23-24 of September and will be broadcast live all around Europe by the Network of National Television Partners and online through the Contest Portal.

Voting for the Winner of the Contest will take place during the Super Final.

1. What is EuroVoice?

 

The EuroVoice European Music Contest (EuroVoice) is an annual, interactive, televised project.

The EuroVoice is the a first Contest in Europe where the winner is determined solely by the audience. This event is designated  to pave the way for new music talent and to give the audience a real chance to express its preferences in music.

EuroVoice 2010 consists of an Internet Stage and the Super Final Stage.

During the Internet Stage Contestants upload their songs and personal information to the Contest Portal.

 

2. What is the Contest Portal?

The Contest Portal (EuroVoice.tv) is an Internet site where Contest Songs, Contest information and the voting results are available to view and listen to online. It enables the communication of the Organizing Committee with the artists and fans.

 

3. Why is the EuroVoice Contest Portal unique?

The Contest Portal is unique because of the internet-technology ensuring that the voting system is transparent.

It means that no one can manipulate or falsify the voting results in any way.

Anyone may register and join the Contest through the Contest Portal.

Anyone may upload a song in the Contest.

Anyone can use the Contest Portal and listen to the Contestants' entry songs and vote for them.

And anyone can check the voting results on-line in real-time or contribute to the latest discussion topics on the Contest Forum.

 

4. Who can participate in EuroVoice 2010?

A Contestant is any adult who has the citizenship or legal resident status for at least six months of any country within the Contest Territory, who accepts the Contest Rules and Regulations, and who has no legal obstacles (e.g. claims from third parties and/or prior agreements with third parties) to signing the Contestant Agreement.

 

5. What countries can participate in EuroVoice?

The Contest Territory includes those countries located within the geographical boundaries of the European continent as well as Israel, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey.

 

6. How can I register on Contest Portal and participate in the Contest?

The registration is free for any artist. You need to press the "Participate" link on any page of the Portal and follow the instructions. There are four simple steps of registration.

 

7. How can I choose my Contest Song?

You can upload your Contest Song on the Portal during or after the registration.

After uploading several songs to the Portal you should choose the Contest Song just by marking it in your profile zone.

If it is shorter than 3 minutes 20 seconds and all Rules and Regulations are adhered to, you will see a special icon near the song immediately.

 

8. What are the requirements to the Contest Song?

A Contest Song is a song, which has never been commercially released before and which has been written entirely by the Contestant, or all of whose composer(s) and lyricist(s) (who collectively own 100% of the rights of the song) agree to sign the Contestant Agreement. It is irrelevant if the song has or has not been publicly performed, uploaded on the internet for free listening or broadcast before its submission to the Contest. The song must be free of any claims by third parties.

Recordings of the Contest Song must be in MP3 format (minimum bit rate 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz) and be no longer than 3 minutes and 20 seconds in duration.

The Contest Song and any information given about the Contestant on the Contest Portal must not:

- contain any offensive or obscene words and expressions,

- provoke religious hatred, ethnic or racial hostility, or

- offend or disparage any person.

 

9. What is the cost of voting during the Internet Stage?

Voting on the Internet Stage is completely free.

 

10. How can I vote during Internet Stage?

During the Internet Stage only votes from any  country are credited to contestant's account. One vote is equal to one (1) point. It is possible to vote both in favour of and against the song of the participant. The number of the gained points is defined as the difference between votes in favour of and against the song.

“During the Internet Stage every voter can cast only a total of three (3) votes (either for or against any participant) within one day. Furthermore, voters cannot cast more than one (1) vote for the same artist within the same day. As verification of identity, every voter must provide a mobile phone number to which a unique code is sent by free SMS. Only three codes are sent to each mobile phone number per day. As a "day" is considered the time period that starts at 00:00 (midnight) of a certain calendar day and ends at 23:59 (11:59 pm) of the same day.

Fans can cast their votes simply through the following steps:

1. Go to the Contest Song page on the EuroVoice.tv and press "+" or "-" key in favour of or against the particular song.

2. Enter your mobile phone number in the field appearing on the portal page near the selected song and press «Confirm».

3. Upon receiving on your mobile phone the password enter it into the field appearing on the portal and press "Confirm".

The Internet Stage Participant with the maximum number of votes from her/his country becomes the Participant of the Super Final and will represent her/his own country.

 

11. Who becomes the Participant of Super Final?

The Internet Stage Participant with the maximum number of votes from her/his country becomes the Participant of the Super Final and represents her/his own country. If the Contest Song does not meet all the requirements of the EuroVoice Rules & Regulations, the Organizing Committee will invite the second most popular Participant from this country to the Super Final.

 

12. How can I vote during Super Final?

For voting send SMS to like or dislike a Contestant. The phone number for SMS will be revealed during the TV broadcasting and on the portal of the Contest. You should vote for the Participant of Super Final after the commencement of the voting.

 

13. What is the cost of the SMS during the Super Final voting?

The cost of the SMS and/or phone voting depends on the country of the voter and is determined by the National Partner.

 

14. Who becomes the Winner of EuroVoice 2010?

The Winner of the Super Final will be selected by SMS-voting.

The Participant of the Super Final, who will get the maximum number of votes will become the Winner of EuroVoice 2010.

 

15. What is the EuroVoice 2010 winner prize?

The Winner of the Super Final receives a 100 000 Euros prize and contract with a major recording company.

 

16. What prize gets the most active fans of the EuroVoice 2010?

Fans who will send the largest amount of SMS will receive part of the 50 000 Euros fund.

 

17. Where can I report a technical problem or mistakes?

Use the contacts section on every page of the portal to get necessary contact information. You can send us any message using the contact form and it will be forwarded to the responsible member of the team.

 

18. What is the official time of EuroVoice?

The EuroVoice Team uses UTC/GMT to operate before the Super Final. All activities two weeks before and during the Super Final are scheduled according to the Eastern European Summer Time (UTC/GMT +3) .

 

19. What does the "Listening" data mean?

All the "Listening" data listed near every track on the portal will not be taken into account on the Internet Stage and it just shows the total number of listeners of the song. The EuroVoice Team notes, that this criteria is intended only for understanding the potential of the Contestants.

 

20. What is the a role of a National Partner?

The National Partner of the Contest is a legal entity or private individual who organises the National Final (if applicable) and puts the winner of the National Final forward to the Super Final (if applicable).

The National Broadcasting Partner is a legal entity or private individual who provides national broadcasting time for promoting the Contest through advertising, marketing and PR campaigns, and who broadcasts the National Final and the Super Final.

The National Partner and the National Broadcasting Partner roles can be joined by single legal entity or private individual.

 

21. What are the responsibilities of a National Partner?

A National Partner promotes the Contest through organization and conduct of an advertising, marketing and PR campaigns.

The National Partner organises, hosts and broadcasts the National Final of the Contest (if applicable).

The National Partner ensures that the National Final Winner takes part in the EuroVoice Super Final.

The National Partner signs agreements with the Contestants on their participation in the National Final and production agreements on behalf of the EuroVoice Organizing Committee.

The National Partner manages the work of the Contest Officers.

 

22. What are the benefits of a National Partner?

The National Partner, as the exclusive organizer of the Contest in its residence country, is entitled to various different moral benefits, including the right to associate with the prestigious status of the National Partner in order to promote its own brand.

Financial benefits of the National Partner include revenue from local sponsors, local ticket sales, and also share of the profits made from votes cast within their residence country via SMS and by phone during the Contest.

 

23. What is the role of the President of the Contest?

The President of the Contest is the public face of the Contest and the Chairman of the Council of Experts.

 

24. Who is Éric Serra?

Éric Serra is the President of the Contest, the Chairman of the Council of Experts and the inspiration behind the Contest's ideology.

Yet it is better to say that Éric Serra is the musician who scored the soundtracks for films by Luc Besson: Leon, Nikita, Bandidas, The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Fifth Element and many others.

 

25. What is the Contest Council of Experts?

The Council of Experts is responsible for the support of ethics and professionalism of the EuroVoice Contest.

It is chaired by Éric Serra.

The members of the Council are European musicians and public figures, whose names are synonymous with professionalism and innovation in the music industry.

 

26. What are the Contest advertising materials?

There are several important notes concerning Contest advertising materials.

We offer Branding and Style Guide, which includes detailed information on acceptable and unacceptable application and use of the Contest trademark, logo, formats, sizes and colours.

It also includes some guidelines on consistent use of the Contest corporate identity for business correspondence, marketing materials, outdoor and indoor advertising, promotional items, uniforms, interior design and corporate transport.

Audio and video advertisements are to be adapted to the local requirements of a particular country.

Print layouts for advertising collateral are to be adapted to the local requirements of a particular country.

 

27. Who makes up the Contest Team?

In accordance with the General Agreements the Q Production puts together a team of the National Partners representing the interests of the Contest in the Country within the Contest Territory.
