Supergrass split

Supergrass have announced they are to call it a day this summer. The band have announced four farewell shows before going their separate ways after 17 years.
Singer Gaz Coombes and drummer Danny Goffey are expected to continue working together after launching The Hotrats last year and announcing yesterday on the BBC that they’re set to work with Air on the first live performance of the 'Virgin Suicides’ soundtrack.
A statement from the band read: "Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. We still love each other but, cliche notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on and of course we all wish each other well in the future."
