The 'All The Lovers’ hitmaker – who has been dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso since October 2008 – has got 'more realistic' about relationships as she’s gotten older, but she hates it when people say she has been unlucky in love.

She explained: 'I think I’m more realistic, partly because of all the headlines that are all about my failed love life. 'Unlucky in love’ – God I hate that pun!

'I don’t actually feel unlucky in it; I feel that it just hasn’t been textbook fairytale.'

The Australian pop princess – who recently released her eleventh studio album 'Aphrodite’ – admits she is a 'serial monogamist' when it comes to relationships.

Kylie – who has previously romanced a host of famous men, including French actor Olivier Martinez and late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence - added in an interview with Attitude magazine: 'I’m a serial monogamist for a start. I do fall. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it isn’t, but right now it’s quite good.

'I’ve learnt something from all of my relationships. I don’t know. I just don’t consider it a failure, that’s all.'

The 42-year-old star recently revealed she would opt for a low-key ceremony if she ever decides to tie the knot.

She explained: "I was never one of those girls who fantasised about getting married. I can get very excited about a wedding, but I would probably just elope and do it really quietly.

"The thought of getting married now is. Well, it would be such a debacle trying to organise it!"
